2002/2001 Paintchat sketches

Paintchat, which is basically the same as Oekaki boards, combines a chat window with a real-time drawing board. Paintchat /normally/ requires a better than dial-up connection to work properly given the constant updating in real time but to me there's nothing like watching a drawing be created before your eyes. From the artist side of me, there's a certain freedom drawing on these boards give me. With paintchat, the picture you draw there is not a permanent thing (sometimes people will draw on/over/or erase your picture before you even get done ^.^ It's something you get used to or you pull your hair out and go to Oekaki instead) so I tend to focus more on getting enjoyment out of practicing a skill rather than worrying with a finished product. Imagine it as the Iron Chef of drawing, it's a bit faster paced and your mistakes are not as easy to hide.
